Diving is all about fun. At the end of the day we meet in front of the dive shop for a drink and to exchange big fish stories. Most weekends we have a barbecue and gather around the fire with a case of San Miguel and some of our lethal Sangria.

Rick photo
  Rick Kirkham

Rick is a TDI Advanced Trimix Technical Instructor Trainer and PADI Master Instructor with more than 20 years experience as an instructor.

He first came to Puerto Galera in 1992 and has been here ever since, now teaching technical diving to 100m and also the whole range of PADI Courses

His log book maxed out at 10,000 dives - He can walk on water and breathes like a fish.


Rick is a keen environmentalist and is the Commander of the 505th Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary Squadron [PCGA] as well as a member of the Philippine Marine Mammal Stranding Network
.

 

Rick is married to Yolanda and has one son Nathaniel

 
Harry   Harry Ambong
  Harry has been with Frontier for more than seven years and is one of the most experienced divemasters in the area. He is a keen photographer and is an expert at finding those hard to see critters - pygmy seahorses, flame scallops and ghost pipefish. Harry has over 5000 dives in Puerto Galera.

Harry is a Lieutenant in the PCGA and a member of the Marine Mammal Stranding Network . Harry is married to Sheryl with one son, Jack.

 
Corey   Corey Froelich
 

Corey is from America and is our main instructor for PADI courses.

He did his dive instructor course in Honduras and then made the move to Puerto Galera a year and a half ago. He teaches all PADI courses and specialities and is also a TDI Extended Range diver so can guide to 55m.

When not busy teaching Corey is usually out taking photos with his underwater camera

 

 
Romell   Romell Paner
 

Romell is also a full time divemaster having trained using both the PADI and SDI systems. When not guding Romell also services our diving and first aid equipment

Romell is an Ensign in the PCGA and an Emergency First Responder and lives with his partner Mimi

 

 

Alex   Alex Ola Goldyn
  Alex is a PADI instructor from Poland and came to the Philippines by way of study in the UK and completed her instructor course here in Puerto Galera. Alex loves teaching and helps with many of our PADI courses

Alex is a keen tech diver and can often be seen diving with her partner Michael, who lives in Manila

 

Ton Ton   Anthony Castillo
  Anthony 'Ton Ton' Castillo is our nitrox and trimix blender and service technician. He can be seen hard at work filling tanks and calculating gas mixes for accurate nitrox fills. Usually his fills are within 0.1%. Ton Ton is married to Myrenne and has one son Andre Miguel
   
Jeff   Jeffrey Cabuhal
  Jeff is the captain of our 15m meter dive boat 'Spitfire'. Along with Gregg, who drives Fantasea 2. He has been a boatman for 5 years and is an Emergency First Responder. Jeff is married and has three chidren.
   
Myrenne   Myrenne Castillo
 

Myrenne works both as our secretary and nurse. She is a state registered nurse and helps with the training of all first aid courses, as well as tending to divers with scratches. She also responds to emails and is the person to write to when Rick is on safari.

Myrenne is married to Ton Ton and has one son and is an Open water diver
